Morocco is a country that drags you in, with its diverse culture, its beautiful scenery, its luxurious riads and of course its people. In Morocco you can learn to ride the camel in the dessert one day while the next you can snowboard in the Atlas. You can get lost in the medinas of Fes, click Instagram photos in Chefchouchen and bargain in the souks of Marrakech. Morocco is not always the first in every travellers dream destination, but this country deserves to be!

There are a few experiences that one must have in Morocco!

1. Stay in Royal Mansour, Marrakech!

Located in the sunny city of Marrakech, Royal Mansour is rightly the best hotel in Africa! This leading hotel of the world is soak in Moroccan heritage, with gold colours, colourful riads disguised as guest rooms and instagram opportunities at very corner. 2. Take in the smell of Tanneries in Fes:

Fes is a throwback in time, with its Medinas, mosques and of course its world famous tanneries. These tanneries where they colour the animal skin is a must see. The bots are large, enough to comfortably fit three or four humans and from a little elevation the view is simply stunning. The smell is quite strong, take a bit of mint or a scarf with you.

3. Get lost in Medinas of Fes:

The medinas of Fes are one of the largest and the oldest ones of North Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage. Its quite unique and so much easy to get lost in. Its fair enough complicated and even google maps tend to get confused. Along the medinas you will find a fair enough amount of shops and if you are lost just ask the shopkeepers for some breadcrumbs to retrace your steps.

4. Never feel blue in Chefchoucen:

Chefchoucen became popular amongst the Instagram influencers for its wonderful pictures and stunning imagery. Most of the houses are painted blue by the Jewish refuges who lived there and it gives the whole town a wonderful look. Explore the old town, shop at the medina’s or simply find a nice cafe to enjoy the views! There are not a lot of great properties which make it difficult to stay there but once can cover this on the way from Tangier to Fes or choose to stay overnight in a basic hotel.

5. Enjoy a cup of tea at Rick’s Cafe in Casablanca:

Casablanca is the beating heart of Casablanca and Rick’s Cafe is its pulse. After 15 years after its first conception this has become the to be place in Casablanca. The place was designed by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman after the famous movie ”Casablanca”. Throughout its interiors you will find architectural details like the curved arches, sculpted bars and balconies. The centrepiece is the authentic 1930 piano where As Time goes by keeps playing!

6. Stargaze on the Atlas Mountains:

The Atlast Mountains are worth spending atleast one night at. The atlas mountains spans much of the country and are a constant feature on the skyline. Yet the view of night sky is unbeatable. No pollution, no obstruction and the height all add up to a stunning image!

7. Ride a Camel in the Sahara:

A trip to Morocco will not be complete without a trip to the dessert. Riding a camel for a long while might be a little uncomfortable but seeing the changing hues of the desert upclose makes it all worth the while. Something there is an eerie silence in the dessert once the wind dies down and here you can just hear to camels hooves tapping against the dessert sand and the your own thoughts!
